Comfortable, lightweight and multifunctional – the Blueridge ES is a versatile, lightweight hiking boot equipped with numerous sustainable features. In addition to the durable Perwanger upper leather and 100% recycled upper fabric (produced according to Global Recycling Standard), this includes above all the completely PFC-free membrane. Waterproof, breathable, sustainable – this polyurethane membrane is based on a complex hydrophilic system that achieves waterproofness and breathability while completely eliminating the use of fluorocarbons. The material used in the Blueridge ES comes exclusively from European suppliers, therefore the shoe is manufactured entirely in Europe. Great focus is on absolute comfort. The shoe proves this with a perfect fit and an innovative midsole: this is a three-dimensional structure made of compact and expanded polyurethane, which forms a kind of shell in which the foot lies comfortably. A raised sole edge made of stabile PU provides additional support around the foot and at the heel. In addition, thermoformable foam in the 3D-BreathFit tongue ensures that the anatomical asymmetry of the feet can be individually compensated. With the non-slip Terragrip outsole with 4-mm tread depth including its large – adapted to the female anatomy – studs with a wide contact surface, the foot not only rolls easily and harmoniously, the modern designed Blueridge ES feels so comfortable on a variety of surfaces – from autumnal, wet low mountain ranges to Mediterranean, sandy coastal hiking trails.

The shoe is suitable for everyday use, leisure time and walks on good trails, as well as light hiking in the lowlands.

Most importantly, the stiffness of the sole, the offset (how far the sole is rounded to allow good rolling) and the upper construction determine how a model positions itself within the categories. For this reason you’ll find the categories A-B-C-D for each model. This gives you an idea of how stiff the shoe is.

D = very firm and fully crampon proof (step-in/automatic crampons).
C = fixed and conditionally crampon resistant (strap-on/semi-automatic crampons)
B = firm grip and solid but flexing sole for trekking and hiking
A = soft, very good flexing structure
